Solved my problem. I'm using a MAC, Safari browser and high speed wi-max internet connection, so this may not apply to other operating systems, etc.
>I deleted all Google cookies and re-entered Google and logged in. Then signed out.
>Disconnected modem, closed all open programs and turned computer off for about 10 minutes.
>Plugged in modem and turned computer on – allowed modem to re-establish connection with server.
>DO NOT log into other Google sites – turn your browser OFF.
>Open SketchUp and load model you wish to upload.
>Click on share icon in tool bar.
>Login window should pop-up. Login, but do not click "keep me signed on to this computer."
>Click on sign-in.
>Model upload window should appear.
>If upload button is grayed-out, type in the model title and press return (MAC) or, I think, it is enter on PC.
It seems my problem was related to more than one login on the Google site. From now on I'll only try to upload with browser off. I uploaded 8 models without a problem.
Hope this helps someone else – very frustrating to spend days trying to solve simple problem
